Achieve self-control and discipline through the art of Tang Soo Do!  Tang Soo Do is a martial art form using elements of Shotokan karate and kung fu.

 

Classes are offered to students ages 4-17 and offer basic, intermediate, and advanced forms of Tang Soo Do, sport karate skills, and effective self-defense techniques.

 

Your instructor is Mr. Andrew Jensen, who has practiced the art of Tang Soo Do for the past ten years and has a black belt in Tang Soo Do.  Mr. Jensen has competed and won multiple Black Belt Grand Championships in point sparring, as well as placing second in the NBL World Games in 2005.

Class Information

Kick Starter

Beginner Class

Intermediate

Advanced

Kick Starter classes are for children ages 4 to 5 years old and each class is 30 minutes.

 

Twice a week attendance is strongly recommended.

 

Student learn basic fundamentals of Tang Soo Do such as blocks, stances, strikes, and kicks.  Students practice hand - eye coordination and self-defense techniques appropriate for their age.  In addition, students learn to follow directions and get exercise while learning the exciting style of Tang Soo Do Martial Arts.

 

 

The one-hour class is for beginner students 6 -17 years.

 

Twice a week attendance is strongly recommended.

 

Beginner rank covers white, yellow, and orange belts. Students will learn basic kicks, stances, strikes, and forms. This class will introduce sparring, self-defense, and important skills like discipline, focus, and respect in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

The Intermediate class is for students 6 - 17 years.

 

Each class is one hour.  Twice a week attendance is strongly recommended.

This class is intended for students with at least one year of martial arts training or with belt colors green through purple.  Students in this class will practice contact sparring, learn advanced foot and hand techniques, and also be taught advanced forms.  This class will also cover the history of Tang Soo Do as well as more advanced self-defense techniques.

Advanced

 

The Advanced class is for students 8 - 17 years old.

 

Each class is one hour.  Twice a week attendance is strongly recommended.

 

This class is intended for students with at least one year of martial arts training or with belt colors purple through black.  Students in this class will practice contact sparring, learn advanced foot and hand techniques, and also be taught advanced forms.  This class will also cover the history of Tang Soo Do as well as more advanced self-defense techniques.  The Advanced class will have a more serious atmosphere and higher expectations of the students.
